2/1/2005 11:44:38 AM|||Chench||| A guy named Eric Griffiths died yesterday of pancreatic cancer. He helped form a little band in 1956 with his friends Pete, Rod and John. They named them selves "The Quarrymen" after the name of their high school, Quarry Bank High School. At some point John's friend Paul joins the band and Eric joins the navy. Well, the rest is history. Eric who died at the age of 64 leaves behind a wife and three children and an amazing legacy.

Bandmate Rod Davis said: “I owe Eric a big debt, because he invited me to join the band."

I think lots of us owe Eric a "big debt." Imagine what could be engraved on his headstone. "Here lies an unknown guitar player that changed the world."
