We explained to the kids that Valentines Day is a day to remember everyone you love and to make up for any days during the year when you may have forgotten to tell them that you love them.

When I drove Katherine back to her mom's, I asked her if she was going to ask her little friend Jack to be her Valentine and she said, "No, I'm going to ask you Daddy." Wow. That's was a dream come true for me.

But there's more. . .

When we tucked Gary in last night I asked him who he was going to ask to be his Valentine, thinking he'd say his little love interest, Ellen. He said, "Just Mommy." and then he reached up and kissed her.

Are we blessed or what?
