The last several days I've been waiting for my train in the morning and watching the sun rise, almost. The train comes before the sun can clear the trees in the distance. Well, seconds before the train came this morning it made it. I can't say it made any difference in the temperature, but it's a good sign. Spring will come. Nature's re-birth. Everything old will be new again.

Winter is nature's way of saying, "Up yours." ~Robert Byrne
Every mile is two in winter.
~George Herbert
I was just thinking, if it is really religion with these nudist colonies, they sure must turn atheists in the wintertime. ~Will

To shorten winter, borrow some money due in spring. ~W.J.

Spring, summer, and fall fill us with hope; winter alone reminds us of the human condition. ~Mignon McLaughlin, The Second Neurotic's
