Poor Gary is sick. Strep throat. He's on antibiotics now so all will be good soon. There's nothing as heart wrenching as seeing your kid sick when there isn't much you can do for them that isn't already being done. It's really, really hard to see them miserable. Gary is somewhere in-between needing constant attention and wanting quiet alone time when he's sick. He's been sick enough that he knows the meds will make him better but he looks like he feels completely helpless and frustrated until then. Katherine is more likely to want more attention when she isn't feeling good. What's funny in both of them is that they listen completely when they're sick. It's like they give themselves over to their care-takers because we know better. Maybe they just don't have the energy to be argumentative. hmm.
On another note. . .
"Man is buffeted by circumstances so long as he believes himself to be the creature of outside contitions, but when he realizes that he is a creative power, and that he may command the hidden soil and seeds of his being out of which circumstances grow; he then becomes the rightful master of himself." -James Allen from http://www.asamanthinketh.net/
