I touched on gift giving the other day and wanted to again today. I was listening to "The Little Drummer Boy" and realized it's true meaning. Okay, so the almighty is born, right and all these noblemen and kings and wise men come to give him gifts. Picture this little kid who gets to follow along behind them, probably as nervous as all, umm, heck and he's so poor that the only gift he has is to share some of his art. He "played his best for him." Which of the gifts are said to make that baby smile? Just the drumming. The free one. The one given with love. It's not the things we give or the money spent. It's the thought that goes into them. It's the love that is in them. It's doing your best to make someone smile that will be remembered. I'm going to tell the story of the little drummer boy to the kids on Christmas morning. Eventually, the toys will all be broken and thrown away. The memories of a wonderful, family Christmas will last.

Does anyone have Joan Jett's version of Little Drummer Boy?
